Maxim Vengerov is one of the world’s greatest violin virtuosos. His sound and technical command of the instrument are legendary, and he has undertaken to pass on what he has learned in 40 years of playing the violin at the highest level. In addition to being a visiting professor at the Royal College of Music in London, he has recently been appointed to a professorship at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. In this masterclass he shared his wisdom with three top violinists from the University of Oxford. Vengerov led this morning's masterclass of violin concertos in the Sheldonian Theatre with the Oxford University Orchestra, conducted by Marios Papadopoulos.
